One of Winnipeg's favourite DJs, Mama Cutsworth (a.k.a. Sarah Michaelson), has collaborated with Felipe Ortiz and Daniel Orrantia, two Colombian improvisers and circus performers, to bring you SPEECHLESS: a beautiful, surreal, long-form improvised theatre piece.

The magic of this improvised show comes from one key element: no words are used. Instead, the body and music are the true focus, allowing anyone in the world to be captivated by their intertwining stories. Elements of Buster Keaton's physicality or the magical realism of Gabriel García Márquez are wrapped inside rich musical soundscapes. Based on physical theatre, clown techniques and film scores, SPEECHLESS lives at the intersection of familiar and surreal.

Since the trio's formation in 2013, they have performed SPEECHLESS in front of thousands of people in more than 15 countries, spanning Europe, South America and the Middle East. Most recently, they have toured to Austria, France, Germany, Holland, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.

SPEECHLESS first came to Canada for the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival in 2014, garnering excellent reviews from both the Winnipeg Free Press (4 Stars) and the CBC ("Captivating!" 5 Stars). Their return to the prairies this June has been a much-anticipated one.

See this show in Winnipeg for one night only!

Advance tickets are available online at ticketweb or in person at the Gas Station Arts Centre, 445 River Avenue.
